Staff Profiles
The Sellery is an eBay consignment service based in Austin, Texas. It was founded in 2004 as a way to help people sell their unused items on eBay. Today, it is Austin's last remaining eBay drop off shop. We are profitable.
To learn more about who we are read the staff profiles below.
Thomas Hallock - Support / Management
Thomas Hallock started The Sellery in the spring of 2004 out of a bedroom in his parent's house, selling stuff for his friends, mostly road bike racers, to raise money to support his own road bike racing ambitions.
Thomas shuns titles such as "CEO" or "President" and prefers to disguise himself as a member of the 24-hour support team. He has leveraged his background in IT, a degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin, his experience from multiple eBay developer conferences, and his training as a PayPal certified developer to keep The Sellery on the cutting-edge of consignment service technology.
When Thomas is not making critical business decisions, integrating two obscure IT systems, or answering your support requests, you might find him swinging poi, riding his bike, caving, rollerskating, windsurfing, or hanging out with eBay president and CEO John Donahoe.
Thomas is also the producer of and co-host on The Sellery's eBay consignment selling podcast, eBay consignment 2.0.
Armando Filoteo - Marketing
Armando Filoteo started off his career as an eBaypreneur in 2004 selling items he bought at garage sales on eBay.
In 2005 he founded Vendelo, an eBay consignment operation that had much success and eventually merged operations with The Sellery.
Armando's years of eBay consignment experience, and his great mind for marketing are helping to bring The Sellery to the next level in the eBay consignment marketplace.
He has also been on several news reports here in Austin about eBay on KVUE and News8Austin.
You can find Armando every Friday night mixing DJ sets as "DJ Mondo" as the resident DJ of Qua Bottle Lounge.
Armando is also a co-host on The Sellery's eBay consignment selling podcast, eBay consignment 2.0.
